Van Gogh's Fields was exhibited at the
Toledo Museum of Art in March
of 2003.
The song Vincent, (Starry, Starry Night) the ballad of
Vincent Van Gogh's life
which was written by Don
McLean and is also performed by
Josh Groban.
A careful study
of these painting reveals
the intricate brush strokes and the detail that
usually
goes unnoticed. This man worked with his heart on his sleeve, or on his
canvas.
Many of Vincent's painting are reflections of the state
of his
unimaginable
mind at
that moment in his life.
What was he thinking? Where
was his head at? His self-portrait
speaks of blood. His chine-blue eyes follow you everywhere. Beneath the magnifying glass
Vincent has brought to life his hidden
worlds. His paintings are bas relief, pure sculptures.
